Finding your super power!

I've just left a few threads where we all having a darn good "complain".

I think we need a "balancing" where we talk about the positives of our way of being!

I can think of quite a few, but I'd like to let others have a go first.

May I suggest we try for a simple and concise listing of our our best traits and abilities, so if the thread works as I hope it will, we end up with an easily navigable resource?

  • Some good things hmm...

I'm a good driver it really bugs me when I see people driving badly so I try my best not to be a bad driver.

I like that I'm good at quickly coming up with solutions to problems that often help things move faster and more efficiently I can see small details that get in the way of things I like to think I'm good at eliminating those types of things that get in the way. (Generally just being a quick thinker)

I'm a pretty good analytical thinker but I will admit that it's gotten me in trouble because I might get stuck looking too deeply in something whereas I should have been focused on something else.

This is something of a double edge sword because it can get tiring quite quickly, but I am extremely specially aware as a result of my autism I find it extremely hard to tune out the world so I constantly take in all of the Information/sensory input around in the moment I like to make light of it by calling it my inner Sherlock Holmes because that's his thing really. He absorbs every detail and makes his grand deductions (I don't do that but I still see all the small details in things)

My pattern recognition for both peoples behaviour, even though it confuses me sometimes when people start acting differently. And also just in the physical world seeing all patterns that none of the NT people around me see unless it gets pointed out to them.

People often find me funny when I don't mean to be so that's nice when I get that positive feedback from people I don't often get that (I think that's common between autistics we're just being honest)

I like this post, somewhere we can talk ourselves up a little bit we can often get caught in a spiral of negativity. It's refreshing when someones makes a nice post like this so thank you.
