Self Talk /how to spread news of discoveries

I have come across some news items on the net published in the last year stating that self talk is part of autism and its absolutely fine

This is a major relief as I have as long as I can remember self talked. We are not mad.

Everyone thinks out situations in their heads to calm stress and feel in control this is called inner speak, we due to wiring external the process

I was so pleased to have found the information, but what saddened me is that no attempt seemed to have been made to get the information out there i.e. spread the news

so without finding it I would have continued through life feeling guility about self talk

  • As I understand it its a cultural thing, in Africa its much more acceptable.

I guess its the victorian stiff upper lip / look respectable thing,

plus maybe in big cities talking to yourself is weird because a lot of people can hear.

I dont do it because it attracts attention and I would rather watch other people than have them watch me.

But I dont think there is anything wrong with it, though I might find it annoying if you were next to me on the tube.
