Dating is hard

Hi!

ive been seeing this girl on and off for over a year and I really like her. She’s smart, interesting and a lot of fun to talk to but like everyone else here I’m autistic and I have no clue how to initiate a relationship. I’m seeing her tomorrow and would love to bring it into conversation but I’m scared of it being inappropriate or feel rushed. Does anyone have any advice? Or preferably a rule book to dating I can look at?

  • 1 to 1 dating is the hardest - you've got to perform 100%, all the time.

You might find it easier if you were in a group environment where chatting is happening - you might be able to casually ask if she'd like to go out with you - almost in passing - so if you get blown out, it doesn't ruin your evening or result in a long, awkward silence..

Don't get too hung up on the autistic thing - people either like you or they don't.  Smiley
