Help! Vaccine Centre that accepts sunflower lanyards

I live in Surrey and I just found out that my local vaccine centre that I am booked into doesn't accept Sunflower lanyards and tries to make you wear a visor. If I could wear a visor I wouldn't need to wear a lanyard!

Has anyone been to a centre in Surrey that accepted your lanyard and gave you the vaccine without a face covering?

  • yea contact your GP and they will set up an appointment  of some sort . I know where I live they have a "come to your house" service whereby volunteers come to your house to vaccinate immobile people. Its worth a try.

  • Hi , thank you for posting on the online community. You may find it useful to contact your GP and see if they can offer any advice on this. Or you could call NHS 119 for information about coronavirus (COVID-19) including vaccination, or if you have a question or concern.

This website https://hiddendisabilitiesstore.com/our-nhs-your-sunflower provides some additional information about the Sunflower programme, and lists the COVID-19 NHS vaccination centres that recognise the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower. However, they note that wearing the Sunflower Lanyard does not mean you are exempt from wearing a face-covering. Perhaps there is a vaccination centre near your locality that is on the list and you could get in touch to check if require a face-covering.

    I hope this helps.

    Best wishes,
