  • Hi, I am taking each day with grace; how are things going for you? It is not the same as a collage but I did a Macmillan with a group to make bunting for a coffee morning with older residents. It was lovely bringing people together, having cake for them and raising money for cancer in the process.

  • hey thats good to hear :). i am ok thank you, aww yeah thats nice :) how did it go

  • We held the event in the supported home's living area. It was great getting a lot of the residents involved, seeing them happy, meet new faces and be a part of something. I brought along a cake that I made with my neighbours, it was a typical victorian sponge cake and staff supporting the event brought some store-brought cakes to have enough to go around. The most amazing thing was some of the residents baked some beautiful cakes, one cake with a blue, red and icing droplet pattern right around it. It was a lovely event and having that time with the residents.

We raised something around 300+ pounds and was my first Macmillan.
