Supermarket fatigue

Hi everyone

I'm Andrew and I was diagnosed with autism today - bit of a shock as I'm 47! Anyway, for many years now when I go shopping at the supermarket (I've got kids so normally a big shop), within minutes I start to get really fatigued. I now have to listen to a podcast/audiobook to keep me from getting too tired as I shop.  I've always wondered why this happens but I'm now thinking that there must be a correlation with my ASD. Does anyone else have the same issue or am I totally barking up the wrong tree?

Looking forward to connecting.

Andrew

  • Nightmare that is supermarkets , i start well then by the 3rd isle i'm panicky want to flee and when they move stuff thats always hard. On-line shopping is best ,better still is some one else doing the online shopping. Then its just having to deal with the delivery driver and the phone when they make a mistake .Life is so hard.
