Supermarket fatigue

Hi everyone

I'm Andrew and I was diagnosed with autism today - bit of a shock as I'm 47! Anyway, for many years now when I go shopping at the supermarket (I've got kids so normally a big shop), within minutes I start to get really fatigued. I now have to listen to a podcast/audiobook to keep me from getting too tired as I shop.  I've always wondered why this happens but I'm now thinking that there must be a correlation with my ASD. Does anyone else have the same issue or am I totally barking up the wrong tree?

Looking forward to connecting.

Andrew

  • My experience with supermarkets is gran treating like her day out. So many times, she did my head in, throwing items away from where they're supposed to be. In the end, I had to accept that she was set in her ways.

I never make a shopping list. But I plan to make one, this evening, for shopping tomorrow.
