Fined for forgetting to renew prescription pre-payment

A couple of years ago I got fined because I forgot to renew my annual prescription prepayment certificate and ended up paying £700 in fines. Could someone tell me if this means I now have a criminal record?  I need to know this as I understand I am ineligible for jury service if I have a criminal record.

  • IIRC if it was a penalty charge that you paid on time then it doesn't count on your a criminal record. It's only if you don't pay and it goes to court that it might end up on your record.

I believe there is a way to request your own police records through a Data Subject Access Request but I'm not sure of there is a charge.
