I had my assessment earlier today after a long battle with the GP. I didn’t want to share it before now, because I’ve been let down so many times I didn’t want to jinx it. Psychiatrist confirmed ASD. Apparently they don’t use the term Asperger’s any more, but that’s essentially what she categorised it as. She even used the term “high functioning” which made me chuckle, because I’ve never been high functioning at anything before.
Feeling strangely relieved at the moment. Thanks to everyone on here who has answered my questions and queries over the last 18 months or so.
