Teens - social skills groups?

Hi, my son is 13 years old with Aspergers and has continuous issues with falling out with friends and bullying (and perceived bullying) and we are desperately looking for a peer social skills group that he could attend to try to cognitively learn some of the steps to help him. He gets very low with these episodes and it increases his stress levels and anxiety about attending school. We live in  NW London. Can any point us in the right direction for groups

Thank you. Martin

  • Ughhhhhhhh nah dis would’ve been perfect but 4 yrs ago dam Sob

  • When normality returns, try Scouts or Explorer Scouts - it's only a couple of hours per week and it's adult-driven, supervised and activity based so the social aspect is secondary to the task in hand - also, the type of child who attends Scouts is normally a 'nice' child - scumbags tend not to apply. Smiley

They are very accepting of disabilities and also adult helpers are welcome (subject to usual DBS) .

It's also mixed these days - we were roughly 50/50 boys and girls so it's good for being around that type of interaction in small, controlled groups.
