Covid vaccine

I received a phone call today offering me a Covid vaccine tomorrow. I'm 33 so I was expecting to be way down the list. I don't have any physical conditions but she said I was Group 6. I also have Anxiety. Has anyone else received the vaccine based on Autism? I was only diagnosed 3 weeks ago! There seems to be some conflict as to whether is a learning disability as well? I'm in the UK.

  • in the usa i think developmental issues were added as eligibility for covid... but i'm 65, so qualified on that. i'd advise people to get it. i'm sort of an anti-vaxer (or simply afraid of needles, lol) but the consequences of covid are just so unknown. of course, there's dying. i think it's a crime that poorer and minority people actually may be inclined to defer the vaccine. they seem distrustful.

why would they be so distrustful? could it be the racial, financial, housing , employment discrimination they've faced their entire lives? if so, and if they don't do the vaccine - it's very sad. but i can't blame them. they been screwed over in a multi-generational way.

ah - getting off my podium is so restful.....
