sensory overload clothes

hiii! where do you guys buy your clothes? i’m 18 for reference so i want clothes that are kinda young adult style. i’ve tried shein but the materials were so itchy and uncomfortable. h&m is good materials but the styles are kind of boring.

i like loose clothes but i’m okay with slim fit tops and summer dresses. anybody know any stores which have sensory friendly clothing but are also kinda fashionable?? i feel like it’s impossible tbh hahaha

  • ASOS is good! They do free returns as well so if something doesn't fit quite right/you don't like the fabric, you can return it. They're quite quick at processing refunds as well.

  • I'm following this thread! (Edit: I just realised that this must sound like a bad pun! Nooo! Not what I intended!! Smile Haha!) This is the only reason I braved the shops in the past - so I can feel and try on clothes.

I've just made an order online (ASOS) and glad to be able to try a few things online, variety of brands, in my quiet environment of home, so I can really see if I like them, though. The rules for returns are really good right now - often extended deadlines.

If you're buying online then you can start to find words that are used in some descriptions and names of clothes that might help. Like look for 'soft' or 'super soft'. I've also been guessing by what the clothes are made of and this plus the images... with clothes I already have to see if I can tell if it'll work for me.

  • I commonly go for army surplus, also worth looking at flannel, also try second owned clothes.
