I feel it is inappropriate to be doing this at the time of Covid, when all options need to be kept open. It sounds like it is a financially motivated agenda (now they’re aware of the issue of health spending and the aging population) to stop paying private providers and getting current NHS employees to carry even more workload, even though staff are leaving in their droves as nursing staff shortages increase each year.
Much cheaper to fund staff hours with some Thursday clapping rather than pay commercial rates of pay!
I feel the government doesn’t want to carry on funding the NHS fully and will be forcing people to take private cover for their health much more.
Politicians rarely admit their real intentions . In my opinion
oh and of course autistic people are at the bottom of the health spend priorities
