PIP Tribunal

Hi. I'm new here.

I had my PIP telephone tribunal last Wednesday, and I STILL don't know the outcome! (I have rung the courts/DWP almost daily, but they won't even begin to consider sending it to me by ernail until tomorrow as it's been 10 days)

Anyway, when I spoke to the Dwp, they said that my case was with a case manager  who would ring me back that afternoon. They did, and i missed the call. I rang back and was asked some questions by the dwp employee. These were: Have I ever been in hospital  care, custody or abroad since I started my claim (no), and are my bank details still the same?

Why would they ask this??

Thanks

  • Maybe because if you have been, or are currently, in hospital care / custody / or abroad, then you wouldn't be eligible for PIP because it's money to help you pay for living 'independently' or without having to pay for those costs yourself? And your bank details so that if they decide you are eligable they know where to pay the money Slight smile
