Copying accents

I have this really annoying habit. I feel like I don’t have my own accent, I just copy the accent of whoever I’m speaking to at the time. I am conscious of myself doing it and I try to stop myself but I just can’t! Does anyone else do this? Is it an autism thing?

Parents
  • my mum does that. My mum ( like me )  has autism but she doesnt know it. She was able to get people especially workmen to do anything because she talked just like them Slight smile

  • I did that in New York once.....in the bronx.....luckily it was only an "I haven't got any change man" line but eek.....Theres a roll of the head in India called an "achar" where it means "yes, no or maybe" and I found myself doing that a lot in India.....until my dad pointed it out :s

They do that all the time in India. Like constantly. You can't not do it after a while.
