Copying accents

I have this really annoying habit. I feel like I don’t have my own accent, I just copy the accent of whoever I’m speaking to at the time. I am conscious of myself doing it and I try to stop myself but I just can’t! Does anyone else do this? Is it an autism thing?

  • I was always good at impersonating others; but I no longer impersonate celebrities. (I don't watch tv anymore)

    But I have sketches in my head. One based on a 'Belfastie' I talked to, ten years ago, on Skype. Her family was toxic as Hell. But there is a Bloke doing 'Belfast Girls' on YouTube; Bernie Green is the Bird he plays. So, my thunder has been stolen.
