I went back and forth in my mind on whether I should seek a diagnosis or if I would be wasting peoples time and that I don’t necessarily ‘need’ one. But I spoke to my GP in the end and apparently he was sending off for a referral... so this was about a month ago. I am aware It can take a good while to hear anything. Just curious what peoples experiences are with this in England? How long have some of you waited? And how do they contact you? Thanks :-)

  • it ranges from 2 weeks - to 2 years !   ok the 2 weeks one was a rarity,,, it more like 3 months to 2 years. They, the people assessing you, will send you a letter inviting to to the initial assessment. If u hear nothing after 4 months contact your GP to see whats happening.
