After years of avoiding it, I finally asked the GP for an autism assessment referral - fully expecting it to take months/years for anything to happen. That was at the very end of November. A week later, I got an AQ-10 through to fill in and yesterday I got a phone call about having an initial assessment meeting in a couple of weeks (along with AQ and EQ forms to fill in).
I was just wondering how normal it is for it to be that fast through the NHS? Or does that always happen and I should expect the rest of the process to take a long time?
