Adult online learning or online hobby classes for an AS adult

Hi all

I'm a carer for an AS adult in his 50s.  He lives with me and my partner.  We live in London.  Apart from his autism, he has a stammer and so verbal communication can be a challenge for him too, although he manages. I'd say he is low to medium functioning, so he is not very academic.

At the moment he is stuck at home on furlough (we are on tier 4/lockdown) and I don't think he will be back at work for a few months.

Can anyone suggest any useful online learning ideas, that would help keep him busy and, ideally, engaged with other people?  Anything where he learns a new hobby or skill would be good.  If there is a fee involved, I could pay it for him.

If you have any ideas, please fire away!

Paul

  • online chess,  it burns hours and u sleep like a log . U play people online but u dont communicate

    chess.com

there is also online bridge  but i have no experience of that at all.

there are loads of zoom online quizzes  to take part in  which will be very interactive - u would need a smartphione or laptop for that
