Mum of 8 year old struggling with the pandemic

My son is 8 and can be the most loving little boy.

He is still in the process of getting his diagnosis but the likely hood is that he is on the spectrum.

He is currently struggling with the pandemic and has all along especially when a family member has informed him a full lockdown of the country will happen again.

He is now in full panic mode as he does not want to be without his one to one he has at school and it has caused numerous anxiety attacks.

Any help would be grateful as we his family mum and dad and 2 brothers would like to be able to help.

Thank you

  • Is your son getting enough 1-to-1 time with someone at home? If possible, that would be good. Could you set him a series of tasks to do, learning new things? It could be cooking, gardening, watching educational films together. Try to keep him with stimulated and challenged. Best luck with everything Slight smile
