Petition to give adults with ASD the opportunity to join the armed forces

Hi everyone,

I have started a petition to allow people with ASD to be given the opportunity to join the armed forces. I know not all people with ASD are suited to this type of career but there are many who are would be very good but are automatically dismissed due to their diagnosis.

If you agree that we should have the opportunity please consider signing and sharing my petition. I have posted the link below. I, and I’m sure many others, would really appreciate it.

Hello Sophie, I have deleted the link to the petition as it states personal identifying factors about yourself which is against the community rules (number 2, you have stated your full name on the petition). We can jin if we want - I trained a young aspie twoe years ago - 18 yr old who went on to join the Navy.

I'd suggest that if a person's ASD is obvious enough to be diagnosed then they will probably struggle with the lifestyle.

And would *you* want to be on a frontline with an unpredictable person next to you while under fire?
