Talking about Memory and Learning

Hello everyone!

The last days I have had some questions in my head and I would be happy, if you have time and space to answer them :)

How good is your memory?

Mine is really bad, which makes learning new languages extremely difficult. Therefore I was wondering if any of you guys are also struggling with that.
Do you have anything that helps you learn more effectively?
And what do you do to stay focused?

I also am not so good with remembering faces. Or who said what.
Can you relate? Also what helps you remembering?

I would also like to hear your stories regarding that topic :)
Thank you for reading and answering!

  • I think you may have ADHD as well as Autism. The only way i can make my brain focus and absorb information if when i am doing something i enjoy which gives dopamine i need to keep concentrated. if this is the case you have to learn what activity are high dopamine activities and low dopamine activities and structure your day with one high dopamine task to one or two low dopamine tasks.

Aphantasia is a disorder that prevent you creating mental images inside your mind eye, you may what to look into that as it can effect learning.

Prosopagnosia is a disorder that make recognising faces impossible or difficult.

Dyspraxia is known for it coordination problems but it affects short term memory and organization of information.

I have all these issues and more, makes what you describe difficult.
