Secondary school SENCo

Just found out yesterday the SENCo in my sons school is leaving today , received the email yesterday. There was no prior warning regarding this and I’m am really feeling let down by the school as is. 
I’m January they have a temporary replacement for two days per week until they appoint someone new. 
is this standard practice where everything is left to the last minute and before proper provisions are put in place . 
this worries me 

  • Surprisingly yes if the Senco Coordinators abruptly quits, which happens quite often as they are usually incompetent at the job and make massive errors that forces them to quite abruptly but as the position pays quite well they will move on to the next school and do the same thing. 

    When i was in high school we had a new Senco Coordinator every 7 months before they decide to quit. When i attended college they couldn't keep their Senco Coordinator for longer than two months because of the back log the previous Senco staff left.
