I think a lot depends on whether you know what sort of things upset your mum or not.
A good 'grown up' thing to try to do is talk calmly to her and apologise if you've accidentally upset her and to ask for clarity in what she expects from you.
If you have difficulty with her expectations, the door is open for you both to come to an agreement.
You also have to understand that, as a parent, they want the best for you but their life has other stress and pressure which may accidentally get vented at you.
