I made up a new joke today at work.
One is lazing around at work in a ‘I don’t give a fu.ck’ style, and the other is sweating like a pig in a ‘I’d rather die than give up’ approach, in the end both have it the same. What is it?
Equality. :D
Btw. I miss aidie. She was like an overseer here
Very good. Hopefully he will continue to do so. changing perception - it's what art is about

but I heard many comments like that
And I did get looks ''what's wrong with him'' many times when I mentioned that I like to listen to classical
Because it's not boring, it's beautiful and there is so many various types that everyone would find something to their liking if they tried.
For my 40th birthday, I was fortunate enough to see Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss perform live, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Until I 'discovered' him, I'd never really been a big fan of classical music. What I like about him and his orchestra is that in addition to performing what I consider to be traditional classical music, they will also perform more modern music... but with a classical twist.
I personally don't consider classical music to be for geeks or weirdos, although when I was a child I did consider it boring and old-fashioned. Not now though.
I wasn't, but I looked him up. We need more like him. World thinks classical music is for geeks or weirdos.
Just wondering Mariusz, are you familiar with Andre Rieu?
Sporadic Sparkly said:like Bach, Handel, Mozart, etc
exactly
though I like jazz and blues as well
Ok. Sorry.
I believe everyone has their own interpretation of what modern music is. For some, it might mean anything that doesn't fall into the category of classical music (like Bach, Handel, Mozart, etc).
No worries. Why else are we here huh ? Mordern ? Not exactly.... Elvis Died in 1977
LOL I took it literaly, I'm not into modern music, so I didn't recognise it
Cool. A kindred spirit
Yes I do remember it. I grew up listening to a lot of 70s, 80s, and early 90s music. Also a lot of Elvis because my grandmother was a fan.
I believe you are quite correct. Do you also remember pet shop Boys with always on my mind ? ( My best ballad )
If memory serves me, there was a cover version of 'Suspicious Minds' by the Fine Young Cannibals.
Yay !
There was an old Woman who lived in a shoe,
Had so many Kids, didn,t know what to do,
But when they grew up,and She had none left to handle,
The old hag moved out, and into a sandle !
Lee_1973, I've now got that song playing on a jukebox in my head.
Mariusz, just to clarify " caught in a trap was an Elvis song " ( Suspicious minds )
Ha ha. Trust you ! You dont miss a trick do you ?
do you mean it was a trap set by you?
don't forget to mourn it
