Why can't anyone be concise?

Back to my work problems sorry!

I was asked a while back to list all the issues I have at work and one of them is that one job is so vague that no matter what I do I'm always told that I've not done it right, even when I do exactly the same as everyone else.

So my big boss went to my line manager and said "write an exhaustive list of everything that job entails for that autistic staff member".

so without consulting me (because she never talks to me about anything, somehow this isn't bullying), she's written, printed and laminated a list that ends with "and any other duties that [line manager] can come up with"

that's not bleeping concise you bunch of bleeping morons! This is why I'm stressed out my god damn box! Why can't you all just write down an exhaustive bloody list like you're bloody asked and be done with it? I mean this is a hospital, there's only so much stuff that can happen but once again you've but together a list that leaves wiggle room for me to check everything off and for her to still say "nah, she didn't do it right because I don't like her socks".

  • Logically, no, it's dead simple really.     Unfortunately, you're dealing with NTs so yes, it's way too difficult to be professional.

I spent a week in hospital last month - it was fascinating - just watching the politics and systems in action as a spectator.      Nothing done properly but everyone covering for everyone else's incompetence.      Absolutely no proper oversight or accountability.       It *could* be so much better.

Added - there was one young Asian nurse - clearly Aspergers - the upper staff just dumped on her all the time.
