I think as an Autistic person it bothers me that there is no universal truth for human beings. We're divided.
In Ireland there are the people who believe in a united Ireland and those who want to be part of Britain.
In Switzerland one region is stereotyped as alcoholics, another as potheads, another as arrogant rich people, another as broke and rebellious, another as slow people.
In Italy the northerners resent the southerners who they feel they subsidise with their heavy industry and innovation while the southerners dislike the northerners for being more rude and enjoying life less.
In America the south is religious and the north is industrious, the east is more traditional, the west is obsessed with progress and modernity.
In Canada there's tension between the French-speaking Quebec and the rest of the country, and between the First Nations people and the rest of the country.
You could say this is all part of what makes the world an interesting place. I think, though, people rarely see that so much of what we are is just a product of where we grew up. It's weird but I suppose everything changes eventually. At one time Italy didn't exist, it was just a bunch of neighbouring tribes. And before Jesus there was no widespread religion adhered to.
It's just hard to get my head around it all. So much to learn.
