So I’m currently waiting for an assessment date to go private through the Lorna wing centre. I’ve been told I will require half a days face to face assessment or 3 video sessions. I have also been offered NHS funding through either Maudsley or Psicon? However this could take either 4-6 months or 18 months...
My worry is that I would like to be assessed as soon as possible and although ideally I would love it through the NHS I’m thinking doing privately would be much quicker. Has anyone experienced this? Also I know Lorna wing centre specialise I’m females so this is also why it’s appealing to me! I feel like I need to make a decision soon! Obviously I would need to find the money to go private but for me the priority is knowing what’s going on with me!
Hi, wrong sex, but I was told by Lorna Wing that wait time is around 12 months and quoted £1500-2000. There are quite a few threads on here about private assessment and a variety of routes people have tried.
