How can you deal with reaching life goals at a different time to NTs?

How do people deal with reaching life goals later than neurotypicals (i.e. seemingly everyone else), if at all? Big thing with me at the moment after ND diagnosis

  • A couple of things:

1 - do you really want the same goals as NTs?      Their lives seem to revolve around one-upmanship and crass consumerism - there are easier ways to go through life without frying your brain worrying about status.

2 - If you cherry-pick the parts of life that you want to do, just make up your own plan to get there.   Avoiding all the unnecessary stress may let you look back in comparison and realise that they're not actually 'winning' any life races.
