Painful hair

this might be unrelated to Autism but I’m so confused and in pain I don’t know what else it could be for me (diagnosed autistic still learning about myself)

the hair on my head feels like it’s stabbing into me with tiny needles. Like every strand of hair feels like a stabbing pain no matter what I do with it. I put it up with a soft scrunchie it hurts, have it down it hurts, massage my scalp it hurts. It’s like nothing takes the pain away and it’s awful and I don’t know what to do and am hoping someone understands me or can help. I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous I know that but I thought I would at least try and ask if anyone understands.

  • I get it after having had a haircut where every cut end of hair sticks into my neck and back. I have to go straight into the bath or shower and the clothes I was wearing have to be washed several times, and even then I need to closely inspect them incase as just one hair end left touching my body is enough! My skin is red where I scratch it or try to scratch where the hair in my clothes has touched me. Also get issues with labels, or tiny bits in my socks...  I don't get it on my head but from the neck down it is horrible.
