Does any other autistic adult find that sometimes they just won’t speak. I’ve not heard of this before so I don’t know if it’s to do with my autism or something else but sometimes I just won’t speak. Like last night when I was on video call to my boyfriend, I suddenly got to a point where I just wouldn’t speak and luckily he knows this happens and he just spoke to me whilst I listened but it’s kind of scary and it’s only in the last couple years that it’s developed. I also wouldn’t say it’s much of a choice - like if I opened my mouth then yes sound would come out but I feel like I can’t speak...
