Community Support - Available for ASD without intellectual disabilty? From who/where?

Hi,

I was diagnosed with ASD in January and live alone.

I have mental health difficulties too and have been receiving intense treatment to help me with that. My treatment is coming to an end and the CMHT is hoping to discharge me in the next few months. However, since my diagnosis, I have recognised that although I am not intellectually disabled and live alone, that I still need someone to talk to help me process relational and executive functioning challenges in my life. Additionally, the anxiety related to my ASD can make socialising, new activities and activities such as shopping difficult.

I was wondering if the local authority provides support for those with ASD and without an intellectual disability and if so what team tend to provide this? Also, are there other organisations?

I know the obvious would be NAS, but I used to work for the local branch, so feel this wouldn't be suitable for me. I also realise that individual support would need to be funded...

Can anyone shed any light on the reality regarding support and what they have found helps them?

Thanks.
