Getting Exercise in Lockdown

I take a daily walk in my local area with my dogs.  I drive to a quiet area and walk.  On most normal days I might pass a maximum of 6 people.  I am comfortable and feel safe in the area.  However, I was stopped by police and told to return home.  I went into meltdown and my husband tried to explain our circumstances.  He insisted that to go home was government advice and he was sdvising us to go home.  I shutdown for nearly two days and despite trying to find out what is classed as my local area from the government website, police, and others, I am getting no further.  My stress levels are sky high, I am taking oxazypam to calm my anxiety, and am fast needing to approach my crisis team, as I run out of options.  I am now scared to go out and I need to get supplies for myself and my Mum and Dad.  We live in a rural area.  Does anyone here know the rule around staying 'local'?

  • Did you manage to explain that you were diagnosed on the spectrum. When speaking to police to speak very slowly and clearly. I live in an isolated rural area as well. I recently read that some lawyers had won some leniency for autistic and or vulnerable people. I am in isolation myself with broken ribs. if I were you I would stick at it. If you have a letter of a diagnosis for asd take that with you. Try to be polite but firm. If they send you back just comply. They are just doing a difficult job. So try to relate to their situation as well.
