Not sure this is worthy of a thread per se...but a big thanks for all those who replied to my previous threads

Moved home on the 27th Dec 19, due to separation of 19yrs had alot to deal with, like we all do!

Coming to this site is a major, major  benefit to me. As im finding that people are explaining many of the feelings and dealings i have had all of my life.

So its a beautiful comfort to read such articulated explanations, of being Autistic...though i know we are all individual...we do share this common thread .

Its been so stilted my end, trying to articulate myself...but as mentioned above. I am slowly learning and its a great joy.

Much love and once ive shaken these present matters....i'll hopefully be in a better position to give input to others...

Many thanks.

  • Most certainly worthy of a thread, and I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiment!

It's easy after having been here for a while to take it a little bit for granted and to forget just how much I've benefitted from the goodwill, support, and advice I've found here - but the generosity of other autistic people has been the best therapy I've had in nearly half a century of stumbling through life.

Even just the process of writing a post can be a huge step sometimes - trying to explain to others can be hugely therapeutic, even if we don't quite feel that we've quite hit the spot. Articulating it all becomes easier over time; there can be so much to get straight in your own mind during the first few steps of the journey. And a post just to say "hey me too, you're not alone" can be as valuable as an elaborate essay when it's just what someone needs to hear in a desperate moment.
