Hi,
I am a 22 yr old female and I have been referred by my doctor for an assessment. I was told I would get a letter in the post. Does anyone know how long the letter takes to arrive and how long after the letter arrives do you get an assessment

  • It very much depends on resources in your area. I was referred in January (this year) and my assessment will be next month, but I've heard of people waiting months (or longer), so it's difficult to say. My letter arrived maybe three weeks after my appointment. Based on what I've seen/heard, that's rather swift. I'm sure it's daunting, but you have your referral - that's a vital step, even if it'll take a while.
