What does my score mean

Hello all

I have been going through the diagnosis as I have been struggling at work. I am now working in a team and I find the interaction stressful and exhausting.

The process was much better than I thought it would be, the person doing it was very understanding and respectful.

I have received my outcome and it gives a score of 11.

Can anyone explain what that means?

Thank you.

Colin

  • I just did some research..

For ADOS-4 scores of 1-3  correspond to a “Nonspectrum”

while scores of 4 - 10 correspond to "ASD"

So a score of 11 is quite Autistic :) :)

  • For what it's worth my AQ score was 41 and EQ score 7.

For my ADOS assessment the summary was :-

    Overall Score = 7 ADOS   Classification=Autism Spectrum ???

  • That might be an ADOS score, if so, I think scores equal to or higher than 10 suggest a diagnosis of ASD. But that's just remembering it from my own assessment. If it is ADOS it should say so on your diagnostic report. There isn't a single standard form of autism assessment but the ADOS test is quite commonly used, I think normally along with something that looks at your developmental history (mine wasn't a formal questionnaire, it was more like the history taking that a therapist would do in a mental health assessment).

I don't know if you can compare ADOS scores for severity. For what it's worth mine was 15.

If you want more clarification you should be able to ask the assessment service to explain the outcome.

  • I'm not sure what you mean by a score of 11??

Have you filled out a AQ and/ EQ questionnaire ?? Have you had an ASC assessment ?
