Direct payment for taxi I can't travel independently and have to stay home alone

I am 49 female and I can't travel independently anywhere I need a companion a close family member to transport me everywhere. I don't go to my medical appointments or dentist or hospital because I cannot go on public transport.

I am socially isolated and I don't know how I can get out independently and safety. I was wondering if I can get direct payment to pay for taxi. Can anyone help?

I don't know what help I am entitled to so I can access the community and take care of my health. I am also deaf a bilateral hearing loss.

Hi. I'm not sure about this personally, but it might be worth contacting the Citizens' Advice Bureau to see if they can offer any suggestions.
