Population growth - there's some interesting youtubes about the maths of this and how as populations get more civilised, their birthrate drops - they reckon it will peak late this century and then reduce down to a sensible level.   

The only real problem we have in this country is too many people for the size of the island - but big business sees every person as a profit margin.

Traditionally, new-comers vote Labour - so they want more uncontrolled population movement to get back into power.

More people = lower wages in unskilled jobs & higher prices for everything - the simple laws of supply & demand.

Basically, don't worry about it - but if it bothers you, there's plenty of debunking information out there.

It's that talking about over-population on radio without thinking what is being said I can understand that traditional resources are no longer fit for times we live due to toxicity and scarcity, but that doesn't mean there are too many people it's a scary conclusion.

I don't know - it depends what he's trying to do - there's a lot of talk about moon-bases but it's harder than you think because of the regolith - the moon dust is incredibly abrasive and will eventually get into door seals and cause pressure leaks - so it's a maintenance nightmare in anyone goes outside - it was a problem in the Apollo missions.

Extremely low power - good as a satellite positional thruster, no use for shifting a huge spaceship.

What do you think of the Em drive? 

Unfortunately, we're centuries away from deep space travel - and space is huge - it will take decades to get anywhere - assuming all the technology works and nothing bad happens on the way.

Current space tech is too risky for me - I'm not that brave.

No, I would go in search of new land new planets I would love to explore space I would go tomorrow would you? 

Everyone - you wouldn't want 50 people in your house - there's a natural 'correct' sustainable number.

It a really difficult question because who needs to controls themselves. 

There's a lot more issues around population growth - and that's a whole discussion in itself.    Multiplying will always reach a point where common sense and self control need to take over.

Honestly though, it was the idea that to many people live on the planet wich is so false its laughable. 

High-speed Diesels are dirty - but higher performance - but still cleaner than the old days - especially with a particulate filter.  

India is waaaaay behind in efficiency - they are like UK from 150 years ago - but getting better rapidly - give them time.

It has improved since the 1900 given we are in 2019 on the eve of 2020.

Plus when I went Kolkata it was so bad I could not breathe I'm not being extreme either I was given medical treatment it was so damaging to my lungs. 

If you do some research, with all the new drilling technologies that have been developed, we haven't reach peak oil yet - and they keep finding new oil fields.   And burning fossil fuels doesn't have to be toxic - modern cars are unbelievably clean.   Have a look at the London smogs of a the mid 1900s - we don't have anything like that now.

But you can't get it all off - the spacesuits are too unwieldy so you'll always miss some - so it's a long-term problem.  it also gets into the suit material and damages the threads causing premature failure.  Like sand in your socks!
