Hi, We have an autistic 21 year old boy/adult who up to now was easy going, liked going out and about in the car, bus and trains. He is no longer in full education that finished last July 2018 and has been attending 2 different day care centres, which he seemed to enjoy until the Christmas holidays of last year and started to prod and poke other service users which has now led to him becoming extremely agitated and him becoming quite aggressive ie pushiing at people at the day care centres. We have since stopped him going to one of the day care centres as he said he didn't want to go. So now only attends half a day Tuesday morning where he goes horse riding which he enjoys. These last few weeks he has become so agitated and pushing staff at the centre that they have rang us to take him home , this behaviour has continued on and off for the last 3 months and seems to have got worse even though he is only going to a day centre for only half a day. Since he no longer wants to go the centre he seems to be going to bed late and waking up late in the afternoon and all he seems to want to do is sit on the sofa all day. I can't believe the complete change in his behaviour or the lack of desire to want to do anything. He seems to become angry at the slightest thing we ask him ie having a shower, shaving or even to just go for a walk to get some fresh air. He seems to have turned on us and has become very agitated with us and has even pushed me away. He isn't on any medication as he was a happy and with everything. I don't know what to do? I have taken him to the doctor but he didn't want to be examined by the doctor, as I thought maybe some medication might be the answer for his behaviour. Has anyone else experienced anything similar to this? Any advice would be appreicated
