Hi all. I came across a letter from a private dr to my nhs dr today that I'd forgotten about. I'd been very ill with the worst possible migraines and the NHS carried out an MRI. The MRI showed a hind brain hernia (I cant remember the exact terms used) . This can occur with eds (I'm very hyper mobile, pains etc but never officially diagnosed).
The nhs dr justvsaid oh it's fine just dont lift. I was in my 20s and being told dont go to the gym, no more lifting at all and no explanation I wanted to know more. So we paid for a private dr. I could only afford 1 appt! He suggested the NHS mri were inadequate and they needed to show more images. Although he wrote to the NHS dr, the NHS dr decided not to do this and give me tramadol for pain!
So as I'm wiew awake tonight I googled any relation between chiari (the hind brain hernia) and asd. Theres small studies but correlation was found! Which made me wonder, Does anyone else here have chiari?
