  • Hi, you just need to add a copy of your pip award notice with the application.

  • Please let me know if you get your blue badge because I've been unsuccessful and I am now appealing, though I did give them a call and said they did not assess me under the new law they basically ignored me and then said I needed a letter from a Councillor? I don't go to a Councillor because there services are non existing where I live.

  • Don't give up, I nearly did.

If you have a formal diagnosis for autism, try for pip again, my first try a few years ago was a total disaster, like you I was told I couldn't have anything because I could read and add up. It was also mention I might be cured.

Earlier this year I applied again and it was like being on another planet, I had a nurse who said she didn't usually work at that center, so I think she was sent in specifically as she knew about autism and I got the daily living allowance of £52 of course I was hopeful for more, but when I got a copy of the report it was very accurate, everything I had said was in there, so I actually thought my award was fair, I think the DWP are losing alot of appeals against people with autism so are starting to learn we can't just be rejected.

    All the best.
