Always worried about everybody

Is it normal to feel bad for everyone who has it tough or someone who's died who I don't even know or when I see upsetting things on the news, I always feel sad for other people and I don't even know them, I constantly worry about my family my Fiance the old lady in our street just constant worrying about other people when I should just be focusing on myslef anyone else have this.?

  • It's perfectly normal to worry - and we do seem to be experts at worrying about stuff.

In my experience, we worry about anything that cannot be guaranteed 100% and the niggling doubt causes us huge anxiety.    It's difficult to reason out and separate the things that are worth worrying about from the things that we don't need to worry about.

Try to concentrate on yourself for a while - let the world go by without you.  Smiley    Try to avoid people who offload this stress into you.

I've purposely not seen ANY news on tv or otherwise since February - it's just there to annoy us anyway - and I'm sooooo much happier not hearing things to rattle around my brain - I spend my time doing creative things instead.
