I prefer scrabble. But we sometimes play Monopoly. My son likes it, and getting it (and scrabble and a few other board games) was part of a rather self conscious attempt to get him used to taking turns. Back "in my day" (pre-internet) there was no Minecraft or Nintendo, so that's what we were used to.
I also enjoy playing pokemon games as much as he does now, although he regularly demolishes my team in battles.
