Anyone on here ever seen the film-movies, Braveheart, or, The Sound Of Music ?? I love those.

Braveheart is great, but I can't understand musicals. They just feel weird to me.

I have never ‘got’ musicals! Other people always seem so enthusiastic about them but I can’t follow them, nor do I really get the point of them tbh!

I totally ‘get’ what you mean, it’s annoying when the story is running quite nicely and then suddenly everyone starts singing, it totally throws me, I lose track of the story and I don’t ‘get’ the point of the song. Every time I’ve had to watch one I’ve ended up daydreaming, away with the fairies ‍♂️ 

No-one in my house growing up liked them either, none of my friends, girlfriends, or pretty much anyone I was exposed to watched them. Lucky for me!

I remember someone trying to get me to watch Saturday Night Fever for the first time. I thought it was a musical, but it was a drama. That's a pretty good film. Quite gritty actually.

I just don't get it when the story is moving along and they just burst into song. It actually makes me uncomfortable! I'm not snooty or pretentious. I just don't get it! Everytime I've tried to watch one I have to switch off.

I remember going to watch Fantasia at the cinema when I was a kid, they were ‘really’ into it, but I spent the whole time seriously bored! I learned my lesson, never again!
