Yes me too. I have worked earning money since aged 9, I used to cycle to do a job in a market for 1 hour before going to primary school. Carried on with high focus on work as a doctor saving and not spending so became a multimillionaire, but didn’t know how to spend money and have fun, so now have regrets and realise the tax man will be getting loads from me £100,000 every year, and so I worry about that! Easy to spend, well I don’t know how and I live frugally. Wife ozone friendly so won’t go on any flying holidays or long journeys.
Money can be a problem and a worry! Give it away but then maybe a lot more goes to tax man and I’ve already had it taxed a few times
Have a look at Howard Hughes. He might have been a billionaire but ? Autistic. Died from malnutrition and self neglect!
I probably survive because I don't have a mortgage to pay off. I'm also an obsessive saver & economiser.
I was looking yesterday at the sort of pod homes that some charities in the UK are now providing for homeless people. And I was thinking how sensible that would be (with a few slight modifications) for the increasing number of singletons these days. After WW2, prefab houses were provided en masse for returning, economically-challenged war vets. Too much doctrine and too many rentiers are keeping many of us from living practical, sensible and satisfactory lives.
