 It was a fun day but I’m ‘really’ glad that i managed not to slip over in that mud! Where did you used to work? 

Until I stoped working I always had outdoor jobs, I was out in all weathers all year round, I got used to it and it didn't really bother me, though obviously nobody likes to be too cold - but mud is alway the worst of it, it doesn't matter the type of ground once it's muddy it makes everything hard work. It now feels a bit strange when I can sit inside when the weather's really bad. I both empathise and envy you your mud.

Not when I’m stuck out in it, in the middle of a very muddy and slippery nature reserve! It might be if I was watching it from inside though!

I once heard Billy Connelly say 'there's no such thing as bad weather, there's just the wrong clothes' and I think I agree with him. Right now, I'm sitting in my nice warm house with an icy rain storm outside and it's not so bad. In fact the rain on the window makes the trees in their autumn finery look lovely.
