The Nine Degrees of Autism - so many good quotes - here's one

I've highlighted so much of this book. This particular one seems so relevant to me just now, as I try to understand where I'm going next and make sure that I don't repeat the things I previously did that contributed to burnout, whilst making sure that I play to the strengths that I still have.

  • It looks like I really ought to give it a try. I read Phillip Wylie's earlier,

    Very Late Diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome (Autism Spectrum Disorder): How Seeking a Diagnosis in Adulthood Can Change Your Life

    and it gave me the confidence to pursue my own self-identification. I  later noted that Luke Beardon and Sara Heath were also involved in the project, and the contact I had with those two people was very positive. Luke was also involved in  "Nine Degrees' as a series ed, along with also well-known Wen Lawson. Both have written quite a few blogs, books and articles over the years, and I imagine probably deserve some credit for assisting this project. Google any of those names and you will find plenty of food for thought. If you have ever read an upbeat article on this subject in a UK newspaper, it might well have been written by Luke.

  • This book has helped me alot. By far the best book I have read to date on the subject of understanding autism
