2 weeks tested today the autistic confused

Hi - welcome to the group. I'm in my mid-twenties and still waiting for my diagnosis. 

There are lots of supportive people here, so hopefully you'll find the group helpful.

diagnosis  1 1/2 to 2 year wait northwest england . mine took 21 months for the test and test took 4 hours :(  in 1 day 

Wow - 21 months is a very long wait. 

I understand that - I like to know how long I can expect to wait.

my doctor told me the place were she was sending me 2 so i google the place  - rang for waiting time guide . 

my autium i dont like been in dark and need to have a time for any test as bleeps me head .

They haven't confirmed where the assessment will be yet - not sure if there's a centre near me. I suppose I'll find out when they confirm my appointment

near whision 5 walk from there  hozzy were my test is ur 26 miles unsure were ur place is .

They keep changing the timeline every time I call them (they said 3-4 months at first, then 6-7 months... it's now been 10 months and they're suggesting it could be the end of the year). I think I'll have to try calling again next month.

I'm thinking of booking the day off work for the test - 4 hours is a long time and I'm sure I'll be really tired afterwards. I'll talk to my parents about going to the appointment too.

I'm in the North-West too - near Manchester

the waiting time in uk are 1-4 years   the service if u ring them should give u the time - i was forward and autium i got (( 1st oct 2019 aged 49 ))  i asked the waiting time guide for there service said 2 1/2 yes .

best to do paper work of doctor or online if there - give 1-2 months and ring the place ask over the waiting time 

the phone service wasn't happy telling me the waiting time :) but was spot on :) - leave 4 hours for the test.

and tips make sure u got mum dad - for guide to u growing up . as my history was so so as bleeped to my family for 6 years
