Autism and Anger? Unavoidable

Hi Everyone,

thanks for taking the time to read this post. I am 45 year old guy currently going through an official autism diagnosis. My son and father are/were both on the spectrum and I have always felt “different” and confused by my “fellow humans”.
Anyway enough of my waffling, I have been troubled by my, frankly, bizarre reaction to anger and wanted to see what your thoughts were on the matter. For example, I am a football fan and although Man City aren’t my team their loss to Norwich today has made me delete my fantasy football team, block all football from my news feed and delete all my football apps. Why? Because of my utter and unfounded hatred of Liverpool. I have no reason to hate them it’s utterly irrational but it’s overwhelming. Why? I do have issues understanding opposite opinions but this is a huge over reaction but is par for the course.
Is this autistic behaviour? Or am a hiding behind things I can control to avoid those I can’t? What are your thoughts as I feel rather mad at worst and confused at best.

thank you
