I am currently going through the process of an ASD assessment. I have had my initial screening, then I went for a lengthy one on one interview. Then I was invited to an assessment with 2 professionals where I was asked a series of questions about how I would describe emotions, any bullying when I was a child, my friends etc. I was also asked to construct a picture using the appropriate blocks where they held back 2 and I had to ask for them, had to tell a story from a book that had no writing and tell a story using objects that I had to pick from a selection. It felt a bit childish and I felt a bit stupid but I know they are used for different reasons.
I have to go back in the next few weeks for another interview. What I am wondering is if anyone else has had a similar experience? I really haven’t a clue what the outcome will be or what to expect.
